*Job Description: * _The Support Technician is responsible for the following: _
* Providing direct customer support for Industrial Networks hardware and software solutions.
* Monitoring and responding to customer emails and calls seeking assistance.
* Learning and mastering custom software in use by customers.
* Maintaining detailed notes on support tasks in the ticket system.
* Guiding customers through standard problem-solving processes.
* Preparing and installing custom hardware for customers.
* Participating in after-hours on-call support rotation.
_The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications._
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in IT.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in groups and independently.
* Ability to provide friendly customer support.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
* Experience with configuration and support of Windows OS.
* Understanding of TCP/IP networking.
* Experience working with a ticketing system and the keeping of detailed notes.
_Experience with the following considered a plus._
* Knowledge of networking.
* Basic SQL or understanding of databases.
* Onsite plant or railroad work experience.
* Basic understanding of RFID/AEI technology.
