*_Job Summary _*
The role of the Journeyman Service Electrician is to maintain, oversee and work alongside crew of electrical apprentices and installers. A Journeyman will work under the guidance of a Project Manager and contribute to several job specific activities including employee training: installations, alternations, and repair of electrical systems.
*_Responsibilities/ Physical Demands _*
· Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility
· Participate in weekly safety meetings
· Enters employee’s weekly time into Foundation Mobile on a timely manner
· Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation
· Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
· While performing essential functions of this job service Journeyman electrician will:
ü Bend and twist body
ü Repeat same movements
ü Stand for long periods of time
ü Crouch/ crawl
ü Climb ladders, Scaffolds or poles
ü Lift up to 50 pounds
*_Skills_*
· Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, below freezing, crawl spaces, etc.
· Regular, reliable and predictable attendance
· Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
· Excellent customer service skills, must treat customer with the highest degree respect and work to develop a partnership environment
· Comfortable making decisions independently and handling emergency situations with a calm and measured manner
*_Requirements_*
· Possess valid driver’s License
· Must be able to successfully pass a background test and drug test
· Acceptable Motor Vehicle record
· Current State Issued Journeyman Electrician’s License
· Must be able to pass drug and background check
· Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the commercial field
· Exceptional understanding of the electrical industry
· Knowledge of electrical calculations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
