*Your role on our team: *

At Chick-fil-A South Plainfield, the Kitchen manager is a leader who reports directly to the Director of Operations and the Operator. The Kitchen manager is responsible for overseeing all operational activities associated within the kitchen area of the restaurant. The manager executes daily excellence across a full spectrum of operational activities at the strategic, operational and tactical level. The manager remains in close daily contact with the Director of Operations.

The Kitchen manager primarily focuses on:

Food Safety, Quality and Prep, Truck Ordering and Inventory, Cleanliness, Profitability and Preparing fresh great tasting food in a timely manner. The Kitchen manager sets the standard for “Operational Excellence” in the kitchen and leads by example while mentoring and developing the Kitchen Team.

*Responsibilities Include: *

* Responsible for closing the restaurant
* Overseeing Truck Ordering, Food Inventory and End of Month Reports
* Ensures that Team Members follow recipes and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders
* Ensures that Team Members are accurate with weights and measurements for all recipe items
* Ensures that Team Members work at a pace to maintain restaurant’s established speed of service guidelines
* Develops and Maintains a sense of urgency that promotes accurate and fast service
* Schedule employee coverage based on restaurant needs
* Execute systems to ensure a clean environment
* Maintains work environment that ensures and promotes food safety
* Deliver weekly BOH performance reports to Leadership Team
* Coach, evaluate, and hold Front of House Team Members accountable
* Lead shift of 10-20 Team Members at a time

* Able to fulfill operational needs in the restaurant at a high level

*Preferred Qualifications: *

* 2 Year Higher Education Degree or equivalent
* 2-3 years of leadership experience leading kitchen (10-20 people working at any given time)
* Available to work 2 evenings per week and 3 Saturdays a month, 40-50 hours a week
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

*\* The person applying for this position must have good communication skills. You must be a minimum age of 18+ years old for this job.*
