We are a leading Restaurant Supply Company in East Hartford Connecticut for more than twenty (20) years. We are seeking a self-motivated, personable, gets along with others, hardworking, motivated person to join our Installation division of our Company.
The ideal candidate would be working under the direction of our warehouse manager, yet needs to be able to work on their own. This position requires prepping commercial food service equipment at our warehouse and complete deliveries/Installation of this equipment.
Candidate will unload trucks with equipment and material, help install different restaurant equipment including refrigerators, ranges, ice makers, backsplashes, mount sinks, shelving, walk-ins, assemble equipment, set in place per plan, level and caulk, and discard of boxes and packaging.
Unloading/loading /prep-work is done at our warehouse and installation is done at our clients. This position does require some overnight traveling a few times during the year. Note: you have to the strength and ability to move heavy equipment.
Knowledge of installation of Commercial Kitchen Equipment preferred but not required for the right candidate. If you are mechanically inclined, willing to train the right person.

Have a positive solution-oriented attitude
Ability to lift heavy equipment regularly and navigate job sites
Work variable and flexible hours (at times) including occasional overnight travel
Demonstrate Mechanical aptitude
Qualified to drive 26’ & 16’ box trucks
A valid Connecticut driver’s license is required
Capable of reading blueprints is helpful but not required
Forklift experience helpful but not required
Accept responsibility and take direction to follow safety procedures
Ability to self-manage, work productively individually or as a team with other colleagues
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools and able to use measuring tape
