*Summary* : To operate a tractor trailer to deliver products to customers and provide excellent customer service at the time of delivery.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities* :
* Must maintain a professional attitude and deliver excellent customer service
* Perform pre-trip inspection
* Drive truck to the designated stop and make deliveries to customers in a safe and efficient manner
* Unload case groceries and totes filled with product by using a two-wheeler and ramp
* Requires climbing into the refrigerated section of the trailer to retrieve cooler/freezer items for the delivery
* Load the two-wheeler and take product into the store to a pre-determined area
* Pick up returns at the store that are to be returned to the warehouse
* Required to unload any damaged or returned items on return to the warehouse
* Deliveries require extensive paperwork including driver logs
* Requires city and rural driving and maneuvering in small parking lots
* Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
* May require being gone from home two to three nights per week
* Required to attend regular safety meetings and other events as scheduled
*Qualifications* :
* Minimum 21 years of age
* Ability to frequently lift and or move up to 40 pounds
* Driver must handle the two-wheeler on the ramp and may be required to pull uneven surfaces when wheeling the groceries into the store
* Must be able to pull out and replace ramp at each stop - approximately 100 pounds
* While performing the duties of this job, employee is exposed to varied weather conditions
* Must be available for unscheduled duty and overnight travel
