Position Summary

As an Assistant Brand Manager for Merrick Pet Care, the individual in this role will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the Marketing Strategy for a brand(s) within the Merrick portfolio.

Possess clear competency in basic financial acumen and strong business analytics.
Analyze brand performance versus objectives and manage brand budget.
Identify key issues facing the business and help build and execute innovative marketing and general management plans.
Identify new, innovative ideas to drive brand growth.
Develop and execute new product ideas and renovation to current products.
Assist in developing the communications plan.
Help develop high impact consumer communication that drives awareness, consideration, and purchase.
Help deliver best-in-class creative executions, including print, digital, packaging and promotion.
Lead cross-functional teams through full development and execution of new product or new communication initiative process.
Expert regarding the brand, products, category, competition, business performance, etc.


Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required. MBA preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of business experience with 1+ years of this experience in any of the following areas: marketing, e-commerce, sales, design strategy, entrepreneurship, or consumer insights.
