We specialize in ENT, Allergy, Audiology, Facial Plastics and Sleep Medicine. Under the general supervision of the Director of Audiology the Audiologist is responsible for overseeing patient care during audiological appointments in the medical practice. The Audiologist is responsible to patients by providing information, services, and assistance. Our Audiologists work with infants ages 6 months and above, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations for diagnostic evaluations. We incorporate a set schedule for our audiologists and add-on appointments are required only in the event of sudden sensorineural hearing losses, or emergency cases. Audiologists are responsible for providing communication rehabilitation services, the dispensing and fitting of hearing aid technology, and securing medical records for adult and geriatric patients.

*Essential Functions: *
* Defines patient hearing impairment by conferring with referring physician; selecting and administering appropriate test battery based on clinical protocols; operating diagnostic equipment; determining type and degree of hearing impairment and effects on comprehension and speech; interpreting audiometric diagnostic data; preparing written diagnostic reports.
* Provides treatments by fitting hearing aids and other assistive devices; counseling patients and families; conducting programs in aural rehabilitation; guiding technical staff.
* Maintains patient records by recording and updating evaluations, changes, progress, and treatment plan.
* Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; submitting orders to supervisor on a quarterly basis; verifying receipt.
* Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, and professional standards.
* Updates job knowledge by tracking trends in new techniques and approaches; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

*Minimum Requirements: * ·
* Education: Doctorate of Audiology, Current license with the State of Arizona ·
* Training and experience: Two years of medical clinic audiology experience preferred. Internet, email, MS Office and data entry skills required.
* Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of patient and client information. ·
* Ability to pass state/federal background security check.
* Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members. ·
* Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner.
* Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
* Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology.

*Physical Demands*-Stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; constant/repetitive standing; requires normal, correctable vision and hearing, and the ability to accurately discern duties as necessary to perform job functions.
