Then join our team at Vital Kids Medicine and work in a fast-paced clinic where you will maintain practice services by following office operations and procedures; controlling correspondence; maintaining filing systems; maintaining supply requisitions; performing clerical functions, engaging with patients, and assisting both doctors and staff.

* Maintain professional appearance and conduct that reflect good health and work habits.
* Demonstrate compassion, respect, discrepancy, and caring while working within the scope of front desk reception/ float role.
* The primary position of Intake Coordination- direct patient/ family interaction, confirming scheduling, follow up on necessary documentation in a timely manner, converting patient intakes into physician charting templates
* Answering phones, directing calls, taking accurate messages, scheduling appointments, answering patient questions and requests, and providing information on VKM products and services.
* Maintain medical records, correspondence, and office filing system
* Schedule patient appointments, answer patient questions and requests, providing information on VKM products and services
* Maintain a complex calendar of daily, weekly, and monthly activities and schedules of providers and office staff, staying on top of current and future events
* Operate office equipment such as voice mail messaging systems, and use word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications to prepare reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories, medical records and letters
* Transmit correspondence and medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax
* Ability to triage incoming correspondence for Medical Assistant and Front Desk Assistant
* Adhere to HIPAA and train employees on HIPAA compliance
* Be a liaison between our practice and our patient population

* Ability to independently plan and complete projects
* Computer skills: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Knowledge of patient confidentiality policies, HIPAA, Universal Precautions, clinic operations, and patient safety
* Organized in thought, self-management, and clerical skills
* Strong leadership skills
* Medical office Experience (1-2 years ideal)
* Part-Time position: hourly, benefits depending on hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.90 - $20.00 per hour
