In this role, in support of the management community, you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate interpretation and application of all non-academic collective agreements and employment legislation at the local management level by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with front line management and providing them with expert advice and counsel to ensure compliance and promote positive employee relations. Research, provide summary reports and maintain files and analytical tools on internal grievances, awards and settlements and external decisions and awards for Sr. Advisors and the Director.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
University degree, preferably in Industrial Relations, Human Resources or a similar relevant field. Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a complex human resources environment, preferably in a University or the Public Sector or other unionized environment. Some expertise in case preparation for grievances and arbitration hearings an asset.
